SINGAPORE: A suspected drug trafficker was arrested in an overnight operation on Monday.

During the raids, Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers also netted their single largest haul of Ecstasy and Ketamine pills in the last few years. The drugs were worth over S$386,000.

CNB officers had been monitoring the suspect since February.

Officers sprung into action after learning that he would be getting in a fresh supply from an overseas drug syndicate.

The suspect was arrested in Hougang, where heroin, ’Ice’ and other narcotics were found in three bags.

More were discovered in his second hideout in MacPherson.

Police also seized a Singapore—registered car, which contained some Ecstasy and Erimin—5 tablets, as well as cash worth S$41,009.

If convicted, the trafficker may get 15 strokes of the cane and life imprisonment.
